Washington Veneer (Formerly Known as Omak Wood Products), Omak,
WA; Amended Certification Regarding Eligibility To Apply for Worker
Adjustment Assistance
In accordance with section 223 of the Trade Act of 1974 (19 USC
2273) the Department of Labor issued a Certification of Eligibility to
Apply for Worker Adjustment Assistance on December 11, 1998, applicable
to workers of Omak Wood Products, Omak, Washington. The notice was
published in the Federal Register on December 23, 1998. (63 FR 71165).
At the request of the State agency, the Department reviewed the
certification for workers of the subject firm. The workers are engaged
in the manufacture of plywood. The company reports that in July, 1998
Omak Wood Products, Omak, Washington was purchased by Washington
Veneer.
Accordingly, the Debarment is amending the certification
determination to correctly identify the new title name to read
``Washington Veneer'''. (formerly known as Omak Wood Products),
The amended notice applicable to TA-W-35,336 is hereby issued as
follows:

All workers of Washington Veneer, (formerly known as Omak Wood
Products), Omak, Washington (TA-W-35,336) engaged in employment
related to the production of plywood who became totally or partially
separated from employment on or after November 30, 1997 through
January 14, 2000 are eligible to apply for adjustment assistance
under section 223 of the Trade Act of 1974.
