General Electric Company, Power Systems Plant, Fitchburg, 
Massachusetts; Notice of Affirmative Determination Regarding 
Application for Reconsideration

    By letter of October 30, 1998, the company requested administrative 
reconsideration of the Department of Labor's Notice of Negative 
Determination Regarding Eligibility to Apply for Worker Adjustment 
Assistance for workers of the subject firm. The determination was 
signed on September 17, 1998, and published in the Federal Register on 
October 9, 1998 (63 FR 54494).
    Subsequent to the issuance of the determination the company 
provided additional information with respect to company imports and 
lost bids that merits the Department's reinvestigation of the initial 
determination.

Conclusion

    After careful review of the application, I conclude that the claim 
is of sufficient weight to justify reconsideration of the Department of 
Labor's prior decision. The application is, therefore, granted.
