Knoedler Manufacturers, Incorporated, Battle Creek, Michigan; 
Notice of Termination of Investigation

    Pursuant to Section 221 of the Trade Act of 1974, an investigation 
was initiated on February 1, 1999 in response to a worker petition 
which was filed on behalf of workers and former workers at Knoedler 
Manufacturers, Incorporated, located in Battle Creek, Michigan (TA-W-
35,565).
    The Department of Labor has determined that the petition is 
invalid. Under the Trade Act of 1974, a petition may be filed by a 
group of three or more workers in a firm, by a company official, or by 
their union or other duly authorized representative. Consequently, 
further investigation in this matter would serve no purpose, and the 
investigation has been terminated.
