The amendments will allow employers the option of submitting LCAs electronically, utilizing Web-based forms and instructions. The electronic filing system will be convenient and less burdensome for employers, since, unlike a system based on filing applications by facsimile transmission or by mail, the new system will allow the filing of an applications without the submission of a ``hard copy.'' Submission by mail or fax will continue to be permitted for employers who prefer one of those formats.
