Abstract :
 

The report, Overcoming the Language Barrier: The Literacy of Non-Native-English-Speaking Adults, uses the 2003 National Assessment of Adult Literacy (NAAL) data to examine the characteristics of non-native-English-speaking adults, as well as the relationship between various characteristics and literacy proficiency of this population group.
