This report, which was originally undertaken to mark the observance of the Fiftieth Anniversary of the enactment of the Social Security Act of 1935, which initiated the Federal State Unemployment Compensation Program, is a source of basic information for students and the general public, and as a work tool for staffs of Federal and State unemployment compensation agencies.
